PHOENIX IRISH TENOR BANJO 17 fret, 19-5/8″ scale (trade-in)

Original price was: $850.00.Current price is: $725.00.

As the Legend declares, the great bird rose from the ashes.

Barebones “Phoenix” model banjos bring the ancient fable to modern reality. Resurrected from older, yet well made, instruments from days gone by they are re-worked and improved into special, one off banjos and banjo ukuleles.

In very good, used condition this example is one we’ve traded in. We originally supplied new hardware and Remo head, and made a new neck with adjustable truss rod. Only few small scuffs show this is not a “new” item. We’ve since added one of our custom, wood topped arm rests in walnut, to match the headstock. All set up with a very nice action for exceptional playability.

Very much similar to our Wayfarer models, it’s lightweight and easy to travel with. So much so, that it was this particular Phoenix Irish tenor that inspired the concept of our Wayfarer’s.

Our use of twin through-body rods, secures the neck into the pot and preventing compression and aiding tuning stability.

EACH ONE DESTINED TO BE ITS OWN LEGEND IN GENERATIONS TO COME.
