WAYFARER IRISH TENOR BANJO 17 fret, 19-5/8″ scale with brass tone ring (open back)
$1,150.00
After the successful completion of the Sammy Leary limited edition Irish Tenor Banjos we decided to produce our own bodies with the features of our popular Phoenix models.
Our Wayfarer Tenor Banjo models are made here at Barebones Folk Instruments with quality woods and imported hardware. We take care to produce an extremely playable, robust travelers banjo weighing under. 2.5kg
This option includes a quality, brass tone ring. Handcrafted here in NZ, they give a deeper tone to the instrument, without sacrificing volume, adding relatively little extra weight.
Far surpassing the mass produced brands, the 17 fret, 19-5/8th tenor scale makes for easy melody playing and an overall length that allows it to fit in a baritone uke bag.
Ideal for backpackers, buskers, travelers and just popping down to the session.
