PHOENIX IRISH TENOR BANJO (Restored Slingerland)

As the myth declares, the great bird rose from the ashes.

This Phoenix model banjo is a restored Slingerland May Bell we discovered in pieces of neglect. The neck is the original walnut outer sections with a rock maple skunk stripe installed where the  ebony had deteriorated. A new Indian rosewood fret board replaces the original too. The body is solid maple with a generous walnut overlay, antique Grover presto tailpiece, hooks refurbished in black with a new genuine goatskin head and replacement tuners.
